I grew up in western Oregon and spent a lot of my youth hunting elk in the Cascade Mountains with my dad, uncles and cousins, elk jerky and sausage was always my favorite. The elk products from Icon are the closest thing I've had to tasting like the elk meat we used to get from hunting, I am disabled now and cannot hunt elk anymore, can barely manage a deer, and these meat sticks and sausage are an excellent way to satisfy my craving for the elk meat my family used to make.
